I recently read this statement - Your tires are the the most important thing between you the driver and the road. At that time I accepted the perspective of the author and made a mental note to check my tires when I get the time. About a week later I dropped my car off at the dealer for an oil change and my service adviser tells me it's time to replace the tires. Sighing and thinking about that statement, I purchased 4 tires, ( buy 3, get 1 for $1.00). Happy I did , the ride is better, I'm getting better mileage and I feel safer. Now I'm a believer; Tires matter!
The U.S. Department of Transportation's National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) launched the BeTireWise campaign in May to provide consumers and retailers with essential information about choosing and caring for tires. NHTSA estimates that each year there are almost 200 fatalities as a result of tire-related crashes, and approximately 11,000 tire-related crashes total. Have you checked your tires recently?
