8 Car Care Tips for Smart Women

How much do women really know about what's under the hood of their car—and, the care needed? Here are a few ideas to keep your car running safely and smoothly for years to come:
  1. Create a preventive maintenance checklist
Topping off fluid levels, inspecting belts, hoses and tire pressure, changing engine oil and making sure all the lights work should be done regularly by a car care professional.
  2. Check your engine air filter
The engine air filter is the car's lung. Check your owner's manual to see when it should be changed to make sure your car is breathing clearly.
  3. Check your engine oil and filter
Engine oil is the car’s lifeblood. Check your oil level often. Also check the owner's manual for when to replace the oil and which grade to use.
  4. Know how to check tire pressure and change a tire
A flat tire is never entertaining. Learning how to change it yourself can save lots of time. Ask your car care professional to show you how. Make sure your tires have the correct tire pressure. You can find it in the vehicle owner's manual or on a decal in the door jamb or glove compartment. While you’re at it, inspect and fill the spare tire.
  5. Control gas consumption
Obeying the speed limit, making sure your tires are properly inflated, removing extra weight from the back seat and trunk all improve your gas mileage.
  6. Check, clean and replace worn wiper blades
Wiper blades should be changed about every six months. Check for cracks regularly and use a wet paper towel to clean the blades.
  7. In case of emergency
Make sure you have a vehicle emergency kit. Bottled water, a flashlight, flares, duct tape, an extra cell phone and charger, energy bars, a blanket, phone number for roadside assistance and a can of Fix-a-Flat would be smart options.
  8. Three resources to keep you smart:
    1. Download the Car Care Guide from carcare.org
    2. Get tips from Women Auto Know  She loves sharing.
    3. Save money and get cashback on your auto parts purchases.

Child Passenger Safety Week (September 13-19, 2015)

In a nationwide effort to make sure all parents and caregivers are properly securing their children from birth through age 12 in the right car restraints (rear-facing, forward-facing, booster, seat belt) for their age and size, the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) and the Ad Council are launching new public service announcements (PSAs) as part of their child passenger safety campaign.

Motor vehicle crashes are the leading cause of death for children 1-12 years old. From 2006 to 2010, 4,028 children (age 12 and younger in a passenger vehicle) were killed and an estimated 660,000 were injured, in motor vehicle traffic crashes – more than the entire population of Boston, Massachusetts.

The campaign objectives are to educate parents and caregivers about NHTSA’s car seat recommendations for children from birth through age 12, as well as convince parents to seek more information on NHTSA’s car seat recommendations.
Created pro bono by advertising agency Gotham, Inc., the new TV, radio, print, outdoor, and digital PSAs target parents and caregivers of kids up to age 12 who think their children are in the right car seats.

“Parents who really know it all, know for sure their child is in the right car seat.”

For more information visit Safercar.gov/therightseat, to find out for sure if you have your child in the right car seat.
The site also has important information on car seat use and installation such as Howto videos, recall notifications, and NHTSA’s car seat ease-of-use ratings.

Has This Ever Happened to You

Imagine you're driving.

You're in a part of town you've never been in before.

You don't see anything you recognize. You look at the clock.  It's 7:49pm.

You're supposed to be at the restaurant at 8:00 for your best-friend's birthday

party.

Problem is you've got the cake.  Everyone is waiting on you.

And you've got a funny feeling that you're lost.

And worse, your phone died and you have no GPS.

You look around.  You REALLY don't recognize anything.

Not another soul on the road. If you can't find this place, you'll have to turn around.

Go home.  Come back an hour late.  Make a joke about how being lost.

But you'd rather be on time.  Sitting there with friends.  Laughing and having

a great time.

You squint your eyes and look through the windshield.

A gas station!

If you stop and ask for directions, you'll make it on time!

It's exactly the same way in the business of earning a full-time living on the Internet

Without directions, you never get there. You go around and around in circles.

You get fed up. You start doubting your own ability. Frustrated.

Or you just run out of time. It's good that you're taking action.

But, without a map, you end up with the same frustrating experience.

Friend, you need a GPS.

I needed one the day I was responsible for the
surprise gift at my friends wedding AND a year of trying to be successful on the
internet.on my own.
When your lifestyle extends beyond your neighborhood a GPS can get you there

and get you back home easy. But if you want to be a success on the internet a
navigation system is essential.

And that's what is available to you today:

Here’s your navigation system for making money on the Internet.

·         Imagine being able to work side-by-side with millionaires.

·         Look over our shoulder and see exactly how we market

·         Discover how to create the results you want

·         Start earning the income you deserve

Sounds good, doesn't it? Here's my favorite benefit:

·         You can actually earn your first commission within days.

Where are you heading now?  Where will you be in 6 months?
